About
My name is Lane Roush. I’ve been working with technology since I was about 13. For the last 15 years I have been able to accumulate what I would consider a wealth of knowledge that I would like to share and document. To be honest I would have been (and still would be) lost without the resources other people have written. This includes all internet media, digital books, and hard copy books. I feel like it is time to give back and at least try to provide interesting solutions to real problems I face every day.
I have never been much of a certificate monger, but I do have my VCP5, VCP4, and the less impressive MCP and A+ certifications. I also have my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. I feel like I have always been in the weeds and learned through experience. My IT career has been fairly standard but I have never really been able to “specialize” in a technology and have been relegated to the “jack of all trades” job title. Moving forward I will be putting most of my learning effort into virtulaization technologies. At this point this includes VMware and Cisco UCS with a little storage thrown in for good measure.
This site will contain articles that solve technical problems, scripts, links, and pretty much any information I feel could benefit the technology community.

Hey Lane,
You’ve inspired me to update my own blog. I was running a WordPress for a few years, but Pownce, Twitter, and Facebook took the wind (and content) from my sails. Thanks for a good baseline to start.
